Job summary

Urban Air Bloomingdale is seeking Café Team Members to serve guests efficiently at the Urban Air Café. You will work in kitchen and service areas, cashier, interact with guests, and prepare and serve food with urgency and high guest-service standards.

Responsibilities include assisting guests at the counter, recommending menu items, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food is prepared and stored safely under health codes. A team-focused, energetic attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• Basic math skills for checkout and transactions.
• ServSafe or similar food handling certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the highest standards of guest relations and care when assisting guests at the counter.
• Provide menu recommendations to guests to ensure a positive experience and repeat business.
• Maintain adequate stock levels for the Café area.
• Manage queues and upsell to maximize profit.
• Keep Café and surrounding areas tidy; wash dishes and take out trash.
• Handle guest complaints promptly and relay feedback to leadership.
• Follow established guidelines and procedures.
• Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items.
• Cook and store food items at proper temperatures.
• Ensure compliance with health codes.
• Maintain organized kitchen and storage areas.
• Attend staff meetings and training as required.
• Other duties as tasked by Leadership.
