Job summary

First Farmers and Merchants Bank in Tennessee seeks a Loan Assistant to support the Business Banking team and Retail Lenders. You will input loan requests into the LOS/Abrigo, help prepare memos, obtain and coordinate loan documents, and assist with closings while delivering high level customer service.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of similar or related experience.
• Two-year college degree or equivalent cert/training.
• Proficiency with Abrigo and FIS is a plus.
• Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of loan documentation and banking procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist Relationship Managers with underwriting package by gathering and tracking necessary documentation related to financial package, input loan requests into the LOS, coordinate third party reports and loan closings, work with title companies and closing attorneys and post-closing compliance.
• Assist and work with RMs and Treasury Management team with all aspects of client deposit accounts, deposit account maintenance and compliance.
• Support day to day client servicing needs.
• May on occasion call on business clients/prospects in partnership with the Relationship Managers to support business relationships.
• Coordinate RM networking activities.
• Performs other job related duties as assigned.
