Charyl Stockwell Academy (CSA) District is hiring a full time Building Substitute Teacher at the Hartland campus. The teacher will create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment while delivering curricula and maintaining high standards.

A valid teacher certification and endorsement are required for this role. The CSA District serves about 1,250 students from K through high school and emphasizes excellence and strong character.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Valid Michigan teaching certification/license with grade-level endorsement.
• Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in planning and assessing activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with standards.
• Develop assessments and monitor student performance via tests, quizzes, projects, and presentations.
• Collaborate with colleagues to align curricula and pursue professional development.
• Participate in school activities, meetings, and events to further the school's mission.
• Maintain a safe and positive environment for all students.
• Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and staff.
• Ensure regular and predictable attendance.
