Job summary

JCC Greater Boston is seeking an Extended Day Manager for before camp care (7:30am - 9:30am) and after camp care (3pm - 6:30pm) in Newton, MA. This hourly role supports staff, supervises campers, and facilitates activities for K–8 participants during a bustling summer program.

The position offers a friendly, inclusive workplace, discounted access to the JCC Health & Fitness center, and a competitive starting pay rate of $20 per hour with training and staff collaboration throughout the 8 week

Responsibilities

• Work in partnership with camp staff to create an inclusive group dynamic
• Plan and facilitate group games, activities and enrichment for campers entering grades K - 8
• Provide ongoing support to camp counselors, campers and their families
• Supervise staff
• Manage camper attendance and ensure all campers are properly accounted for at all times
• Ensure the safety and well-being of campers in structured and unstructured time
• Create a fun/joyful dynamic
• Work in partnership with peers and Camp Leadership to provide a happy, safe and memorable summer for the children
• Facilitate and support camper participation in activities, including arts, sports and swimming
