Job summary

Hollywood Casino at Greektown in Detroit seeks friendly, courteous beverage service staff to prepare beverages and maintain bar area according to standard procedures.

You will follow cash control, par stock, know policies, train Barbacks, and ensure health and safety standards. Strong English, math skills, and ability to work with staff are essential; opportunities for growth and a competitive total rewards package.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of relevant bartending procedures (drink recipes, etc.).
• Great good people skills required including effective communication.
• Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff.
• ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• ability to handle money and make correct change.
• ability to understand and comply with all departmental and Company rules, regulations, Policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare beverages in accordance with established procedures.
• Follow proper cash control procedures.
• Practice proper par stock ordering procedures.
• Maintain current knowledge of all policies and procedures concerning service of all alcoholic beverages.
• Responsible for set-up and cleaning of bar area.
• Monitor and assist in training Barbacks.
• Maintain knowledge of current hotel activities, beverage outlets and operations.
• Comply with all health and safety standards.
• Attend meetings as scheduled.
• Other job-related duties as assigned.
