Job summary

The Industrialist in downtown Pittsburgh seeks a Bartender to prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages, delivering exceptional guest service in a fast-paced setting.

You will greet guests, take orders, maintain bar cleanliness, restock supplies, handle payments with POS, verify IDs, and support opening/closing duties while upholding safety and responsible alcohol service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bartending certification preferred where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and other beverages according to standard recipes.
• Greet and engage guests, take orders, and provide recommendations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar area, including counters, equipment, and glassware.
• Restock liquor, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and supplies throughout the shift.
• Process payments accurately using POS systems; handle cash and tabs responsibly.
• Verify guest identification to ensure legal drinking age compliance.
• Follow all sanitation, safety, and alcohol service policies and procedures.
• Assist with bar opening and closing duties.
• Report any equipment or maintenance needs promptly.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
