Job summary

JS Abrams Law, PC in Los Angeles seeks an Associate Litigation Attorney with 3–5 years of civil litigation experience, preferably in California employment law or complex civil matters. The candidate will manage an active caseload, write persuasively, and advocate in depositions and court hearings.

The role emphasizes strategic case development toward settlements or trial, with heavy emphasis on client communication, discovery strategy, and team collaboration to advance cases efficiently.

Qualifications

• Active, good-standing member of the California State Bar (Required).
• 3-5 years of civil litigation experience, with California Employment Law or complex civil matters preferred.
• Proven track record taking/defending depositions, handling contested hearings, and drafting high-level pleadings/oppositions.
• Proficiency with modern case management software, e-filing systems, and legal research tools.

Responsibilities

• Caseload management from pre-litigation through trial preparation and resolution.
• Draft and argue motions, including oppositions to MSJ, demurrers, and complex discovery motions.
• Take/defend depositions and represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Prepare and respond to written discovery, manage electronic discovery, and conduct meet-and-confer efforts.
• Maintain client communication, evaluate liability/damages, and drive settlement negotiations.
• Collaborate with case managers, legal assistants, and paralegals for efficient case progression.
