Prosecuting Attorneys' Council of Georgia seeks an Assistant District Attorney for the Cobb Judicial Circuit to grow professionally while impacting Cobb County’s legal system.

The attorney will investigate, prepare, and try cases, conduct research, draft legal documents, and coordinate with victims and law enforcement. GA bar admission or reciprocity is required, with a strong emphasis on courtroom advocacy and community service.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree and admission to practice in Georgia or eligibility for reciprocity.
• Strong research and writing skills with ability to prepare and present legal arguments.
• Experience in criminal prosecution or defense is preferred.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Investigates, evaluates, and prepares cases for trial, including discovery, witnesses, and evidence.
• Conducts case research, drafts briefs, motions, and trial notebooks.
• Presents cases to Grand Jury and conducts jury trials and related proceedings.
• Communicates with victims, witnesses, and stakeholders; coordinates with law enforcement and court staff.
