Job summary

Ergon, Inc. is hiring a Facility Operator for our Memphis, TN facility. The role requires working with a tight-knit team to produce high-quality asphalt binder, load/unload materials, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, basic math and reading skills, and the ability to lift 50 lbs with assistance. Proficiency in Excel is preferred, and a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Excel is preferred.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions; basic math skills are useful.

Responsibilities

• Input quality specifications and batch data into reports.
• Sample product quality.
• Load and unload trucks and railcars.
• Conduct minor maintenance on plant equipment (pumps, racks, mixers).
• Attend daily productive/quality/EHS meetings.
• Use proactive safety tools and wear PPE as required.
• Maintain good facility housekeeping.
• Stay current on required training.
• Communicate effectively with fellow operators, management, trucking company and customers.
