Job summary

Innovation Learning in Aurora, CO is seeking a part-time Head Coach for our school-based after-school programs. The role leads a site, creating a safe, engaging environment for children and overseeing daily operations.

You will manage staff, coordinate enrichment and academic support, and build strong relationships with families and school partners. Schedule runs Monday through Friday with two shifts; must work all days.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of leadership experience in education, childcare, youth development, recreation, or a related field.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead staff while actively engaging with children.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, Human Services, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily program operations and ensure a positive experience for students.
• Facilitate engaging enrichment, academic support, recreation, and character-building activities.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming program environment.
• Manage student attendance, transitions, and dismissal procedures.
• Supervise and support site staff; provide coaching, training, and feedback.
• Lead staff meetings and promote a positive team culture.
• Build relationships with students, families, and school personnel.
• Communicate program updates and needs to families; represent the organization professionally.
