Job summary

Normandale Community College seeks a qualified, enthusiastic, student centered, committed Adjunct Instructors. These positions may be on-call or temporary, part time and involve teaching a variety of courses including daytime, evening, weekend, online or off-campus components.

The qualified applicant will engage in active and experiential learning strategies, participate in assessment of student achievement at classroom, department, and college levels, and contribute to the college community

Qualifications

• Master's Degree with a major in field or Master's Degree with a minimum of 16 graduate semester credits (24 graduate quarter credits) in field.
• Commitment to student-centered learning and flexibility in teaching modalities.
• Experience teaching at the community college level preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach a variety of courses (may include daytime, evening, weekend, online or off-campus components).
• Practice active and experiential learning strategies.
• Join in assessment of student academic achievement at classroom, department, and college level.
• Participate in the departmental and college communities through activities (e.g., curriculum development, service on committees, student life activities).
