Job summary

Good Shepherd Rehabilitation seeks an Occupational Therapist to restore function and prevent disability for patients with rehabilitation needs. You will plan and administer medically prescribed therapy and work with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include assessing patients, developing care plans, providing education, and ensuring adherence to standards of care. BLS/CPR certification and an OT license are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• Occupational Therapist license required.
• Basic Life Support / CPR required.
• 1 year of acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition upon physician order and at regular intervals during shift.
• Plan, implement and revise rehabilitative care in collaboration with the health-care team, patients and families.
• Provide information and education to patients and healthcare team about treatments and continuing care requirements.
• Monitor delivery of care and identify opportunities for process improvement and adherence to care plans.
• Maintain safety, infection control, and compliance with licensure regulations and standards.
