Qualifications

• Experience planning and directing activity programs to meet residents' well-being.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the Activity Department in accordance with current regulations and policies.
• Participate in discharge planning and development/implementation of activity care plans and resident assessments.
• Interview residents and families in private settings as necessary.
• Perform administrative tasks and submit reports to the Administrator as required.
• Coordinate with administration, medical and nursing staff and other departments to plan activity programs.
• Arrange transportation for field trips when necessary.
• Maintain supplies for scheduled activities and ensure adequate inventory.
• Foster a positive, productive relationship with other department directors.
