Job summary

Plainfield Park District is seeking an energetic Active Adult Fitness Instructor to lead classes for adults 50+. The substitute role offers opportunities to teach and grow within the district, with a complimentary PARC membership included.

Responsibilities include planning fitness sessions, ensuring safety and proper technique, and tracking attendance while coordinating with the Recreation Manager. Requires high school diploma and group fitness certification; CPR/AED is required or obtained

Qualifications

• Active Adult fitness program instructor experience preferred.
• Certification in group fitness instruction from a national institute.
• CPR and AED certification required; ability to certify within 6 months of hire.
• High school diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and instruct fitness classes for Active Adults 50+.
• Create fitness plans and select exercises to meet class objectives.
• Maintain equipment, track attendance, and ensure safety and proper technique.
• Communicate with Recreation Manager and participate in staff meetings.
