Bellwood School District 88 is seeking an 8th Grade Science Teacher for Roosevelt Middle School for the 2026-2027 school year. The role involves delivering engaging science instruction to middle school students and supporting their development as responsible individuals.

Salary ranges from $47,000 to $61,750 with benefits including Sick and Personal Days and comprehensive insurance. The position reports to the Building Principal and requires IL PEL with endorsements and a BA from an accredited

Qualifications

Illinois Professional Educator License with endorsements and a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university.
Evaluation will be conducted under the Bellwood Education Association Collective Bargaining Agreement.
The district may modify or delete any job responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
Plan a study program that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students.
Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to student maturity and interests.
Prepare for classes assigned and document preparation upon request of supervisor.
Encourage students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior.
Guide learning toward curriculum goals by setting clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects.
