Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Meets and instructs assigned classes as scheduled by administration.
• Maintains a conducive classroom environment with district resources.
• Prepares lessons and shows written evidence of preparation.
• Encourages students to maintain classroom behavior standards.
• Uses varied instructional techniques and media to fit location and student needs.
• Implements district education goals through instruction and actions.
• Takes precautions to protect students, equipment and facilities.
• Evaluates student progress regularly.
• Maintains accurate records as required by law and district policy.
• Upholds school rules and Board policies.
• Makes oneself available to students and parents for education-related matters.
• Attends and participates in faculty meetings.
• Plans and supervises assignments for aides/volunteers.
• Assists in selecting books and instructional materials.
• Shares responsibility for co-curricular activities as agreed.
• Keeps open communication with students and parents about progress.
• Fosters cooperative relations with colleagues.
• Strives to maintain and improve professional competence.
