Job summary

Gadsden Independent School District (NM) seeks a qualified coach to supervise student-athletes and assistant coaches, aligning with district policies and the Athletic Philosophy. You will promote sports participation, mentor students, and collaborate with the athletic coordinator and campus principal to maintain professional standards.

Additional duties may be assigned, with emphasis on ethics, sportsmanship, and program development across middle school levels.

Qualifications

Employment as a teacher (preferred).
Must complete the New Mexico Activities Association’s online course requirements for coaching.
CPR Certified.
Valid New Mexico coaching license.
Three years specific sport related experience preferred.
Girls Sport – Female candidate preferred.
Demonstrated interest in and aptitude for performing the responsibilities listed.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Responsibilities

Supervises sport specific student-athletes and assistant coaches in accordance with the district policies and athletic philosophy.
Promotes and encouraging students to play sports and treats student-athletes professionally in conjunction with the athletic coordinator and campus principal.
Other duties may be assigned.
