Alamance-Burlington Schools at Turrentine Middle in Burlington, NC seeks a 6-8 Science/Social Studies Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Salary per the Teacher Salary Schedule plus supplement.

Exempt, full-time, reports to the Principal, Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree and NC teaching license for the appropriate level, plus a commitment to ABSS curriculum and inclusive education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in an applicable field for applicable level(s)
• Must hold a valid Teacher’s License issued by NC in applicable field and level
• Must not be on the NCDPI list of teachers not qualified to teach

Responsabilités

• Plan a program of study that meets the needs, interests and abilities of students
• Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and times designated
• Create a classroom environment that supports student involvement and learning objectives
• Provide an instructional program to meet the needs of all students
• Maintain accurate records as required by law and policy
• Administer and supervise standardized tests as required
• Attend staff meetings and participate in committees as required
• Communicate with parents and community to support student success
