Job summary

Newport Elementary School in Crosby, Texas is seeking a 5th Grade RELA Teacher (Certified: 1st-5th) to join our staff starting January 4, 2027. The role reports to the Principal and offers a THS pay grade with a salary range of $68,100 to $79,835 per year.

Bachelor’s degree and valid Texas teaching certificate required, with at least one year of student teaching or internship. The ideal candidate will develop engaging lessons, assess student growth, manage a classroom, and collaborate with staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum.
• Differentiate instruction to accommodate varied learning styles and needs.
• Plan and supervise teacher aides and volunteers; use technology to support learning.
• Assess student progress with formal and informal methods; adjust instruction as needed.
• Establish open communication with parents and staff; participate in meetings and committees.
