Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or closely related field.
• Valid Tennessee Teaching License with Elementary Education endorsement.
• Demonstrated knowledge of elementary mathematics instruction and best teaching practices.
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to analyze student performance data and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Commitment to high academic expectations and student success.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging daily mathematics instruction aligned with Tennessee Academic Standards.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learners, including students with IEPs and ELs.
• Utilize data from assessments to guide instruction and monitor progress.
• Develop and administer formative and summative assessments to evaluate mastery.
• Foster mathematical reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving through hands-on learning.
• Maintain a safe, organized classroom environment that supports achievement and social-emotional growth.
• Integrate educational technology to enhance engagement and outcomes.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and concerns.
• Collaborate with grade-level teams, instructional coaches, and administrators to improve practices.
