The Louisiana Department of Health seeks an experienced professional to administer the Drinking Water Revolving Loan Fund (DWRLF) Program, providing financial oversight and regulatory compliance. You will assist the Deputy Chief Engineer with complex financial matters and program administration, including marketing and communication.

The role involves coordinating with state and federal entities, preparing detailed reports, and representing the program in diverse meetings.

Qualifications

  • Seven years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating health or social service programs; or in public health, public relations, social services, health services, health regulation, or administrative services.
  • Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus four years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating health or social service programs; or in public health, public relations, social services, health services, health regulation, or administrative services.
  • A bachelor’s degree plus four years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating health or social service programs; or in public health, public relations, social services, health services, health regulation, or administrative services; OR
  • An advanced degree or a Juris Doctorate plus three years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating health or social service programs; or in public health, public relations, social services, health services, health regulation, or administrative services; OR
  • EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance of records, preparing complex reports, and conducting correspondence relative to the Drinking Water Revolving Loan Fund Program.
  • Administration of the financial portion of the Statewide Drinking Water Revolving Loan Program.
  • Representing the DWRLF Program in meetings and making presentations to other states and federal agencies, government officials, professionals, contractors, and the public.
