The City of Atlanta, GA seeks a Program Coordinator II to manage database activities for construction permitting, data quality, and reporting. You will review project docs, ensure compliance, and support meetings and trainings.
Under general supervision, you will help monitor progress, develop performance metrics, and coordinate with multiple departments and stakeholders to improve processes.
The Program Coordinator II supports the coordination of database activities related to construction permitting, interdepartmental objectives, process improvement, as well as data maintenance and reporting. This role assists with reviewing project documents, ensuring compliance with established regulations and policies, and supporting project tasks, trainings, and meetings. Responsibilities include helping monitor project activities to ensure quality standards are met, assisting with scheduling and tracking project progress, and providing administrative support to project teams. The position works with internal staff and stakeholders to share information, respond to inquiries, and help resolve routine issues. Additional duties may include assisting with plan reviews, and contributing to team projects and initiatives. The role may also participate in meetings, training, and process improvement efforts as needed. Further assignments related to easements, bonds, policies, etc. may also be added.
This position operates under general supervision and is responsible for completing assigned tasks while developing knowledge and skills within the field.
Works under very general supervision. Depending on organization structure, may work independently with responsibility for an assigned function or program. Direction received is general and focuses more on long-term and short-term operating objectives, managerial effectiveness, and operating results.
Ability to read and understand architectural, structural and civil engineering drawings.
Education and Experience - Bachelor's degree in Architectural or Structural Engineering, Building Construction, or related field is required. Three or more years of progressively responsible experience in engineering, project management, or a closely related technical area.
Equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job will be considered.
Licensures and Certifications - Level II Plan Reviewer, Level IA/B Erosion Control, training in stream identification.
Preferred Requirements - Master's degree in architectural structural engineering or a related field and five (5) to eight (8) years of project management experience in land surveying, field construction, real estate or related area.
