Job summary

Eddy County in Carlsbad, New Mexico seeks a Community Wellness and Outreach Coordinator to plan, develop, and implement outreach programs aimed at reducing alcohol-related harm and DWI incidents.

This grant-funded role requires coordination of the Carlsbad DWI School, oversight of the DWISE Victim Impact Program, certification as a DWI School Facilitator within the first year, and ongoing reporting to the DWI Program Manager.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and implement targeted program activities to prevent alcohol-related harm.
• Coordinate the Carlsbad DWI School sessions and oversee the DWISE Victim Impact Program.
• Obtain and maintain DWI School Facilitator certification within the first year.
• Work toward Certification as a Prevention Specialist and maintain it once obtained.
• Provide regular updates to the Prevention section of the Management Data System and perform reporting duties as directed by the DWI Program Manager and Eddy County Community Services Director.
• Participate in the monthly DWI Program Advisory Council meetings; work hours may vary and assignment duties may change.
