Job summary

McKinley County is seeking a DWI Program Coordinator to oversee the Local DWI grant components, coordinate prevention and enforcement activities, and ensure reporting and compliance with county and state requirements.

The role requires organizing budgets, contracts for services including treatment and evaluation, and collaboration with the DWI Planning Council and community partners to advance alcohol avoidance and prevention initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• A combination of education and experience equal to four (4) years.
• Experience with substance abuse prevention, addiction assessment and treatment, and/or DWI program administration (preferred).
• Experience working in a county/local government environment (preferred).
• Bilingual (Navajo, Zuni, Spanish) (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Oversee funded components of the Local DWI grant including program initiatives, goals, and outcomes.
• Coordinate with the DWI Planning Council to develop prevention activities and community engagement.
• Plan, evaluate, and administer the LDWI grant including budgeting and reporting.
• Prepare LDWI and Liquor Excise Tax reports; manage reimbursements and records.
• Draft grant applications, RFPs, contracts for services including treatment and evaluation.
• Meet regularly with the DWI Planning Council and liaise with state and county agencies on prevention programs.
