Western Veterinary Partners offers a veterinary externship program allowing students to apply classroom knowledge in real clinics. With over 350 locations nationwide, externs can match to small animal, mixed, dental, exotics, or feline-exclusive practices and gain hands-on experience.

Externs work under supervision to develop client communication, case management, time management, and record-keeping skills. A $1,000 stipend and opportunities to expand professional networks are provided.

Qualifications

• Externship is open to veterinary students in any grade.
• Opportunities to learn client communication and case management.
• Exposure to multiple practice areas across the US.
• Hands-on clinical and administrative skills development.

Responsibilities

• Gain real-world experience by applying classroom knowledge in a clinic.
