Practice

The Silverthorn Animal Clinic is a full-service animal hospital that handles emergency and less urgent medical, surgical, and dental issues. Our staff has experience with all types of illnesses and treatments. We prioritize a comfortable, kid-friendly, and calm environment for pets, clients, and our team.

We offer specialty care including chiropractic services, holistic services, acupuncture, exotic medicine, reproduction, stem cell/PRP Prolo Therapy, and ultrasound.

Our large facility features a spacious treatment area, a separate surgical suite, and three wet tables. We cherish our positive atmosphere and team culture. Our team includes one LVT, multiple technicians, assistants, and CSRs, all fully utilized to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Position Purpose

Come extern with us! Heartland Veterinary Partners' Externship Program provides 1st-4th year veterinary students with hands-on experience and mentorship to prepare them to be 'practice ready' from day one.

Externships typically last 2 weeks, with Heartland covering lodging costs if needed. The length of the externship is flexible, and we can support your preceptorship documentation as well.

• Must be currently enrolled in an AVMA-Accredited Veterinary School
• Must be able to provide student PLIT
