Job summary

OSU-Oklahoma City invites applications for an Adjunct Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) Instructor to deliver classroom, laboratory and clinical instruction in an AVMA-CVTEA accredited program.

You will mentor students, develop clinical competencies, and ensure alignment with accreditation standards and current veterinary practices. Relevant DVM credentials and Oklahoma licensure are required.

Qualifications

  • Teaching competence: create lesson plans, content, presentations, assignments and assess student learning.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize with accuracy.
  • High initiative to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication with stakeholders.
  • Proficient in MS Office, email, internet and learning management systems.
  • Demonstrated history of ethical and professional behavior.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain syllabus, assignments and exams in Canvas and paper documents.
  • Communicate course progress to students in a timely manner.
  • Keep accurate attendance and progress records for administration.
  • Participate in student retention and persistence efforts.
  • Support the mission of the program, division and college.
  • Foster a safe, effective teaching and learning environment.
  • Exhibit innovative and adaptive instructional methods.
  • Maintain online class presence (online or hybrid courses).
  • Complete all mandatory University training.
  • Fulfill all requirements in Adjunct Handbook.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
