The City of New York is seeking five Trial Preparation Assistants II in the Domestic Violence Bureau to support assistant district attorneys with discovery, witness communications, and trial preparation for intimate partner cases.

DV TPA 2 will work with a team, handling subpoenas, correspondence, motion responses, and fieldwork across agencies and courts; strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent; 3 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination.
• Must have a valid New York State driver’s license with at least 2 years driving experience.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with strong organizational and communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Assist with discovery gathering, redaction, and maintaining diligence records.
• Coordinate with NYPD and legal staff; contact witnesses and victims.
• Draft letters, Orders of Protection, and motion-related documents.
• Travel to agencies, hospitals, and courts to gather evidence.
