South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services is seeking a DV agent trainee to supervise a DV caseload as the first line of supervision under the DV Supervisor or Unit Manager. The role maintains professional relations, promotes public outreach, and coordinates with service providers.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree with 15 semester hours in social/behavioral sciences, or an associate’s degree with two years of military or certified law enforcement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 15 semester hours in social or behavioral sciences.
  • Associate’s degree with two years of military or certified law enforcement experience (to include Class 1 or Offender Supervision Specialist experience).
  • High school diploma with four years military or certified law enforcement experience (to include Class 1 or Offender Supervision Specialist experience).

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a DV caseload as the first line of supervision under the DV Supervisor or DV Unit Manager.
  • Maintain professional communication networks and promote public relations with the community and service providers.
  • Participate in trainings and DV certification requirements; deployments.
  • Utilize GPS monitoring and/or alcohol monitoring technologies along with community resources to gain compliance.

Education

Bachelor's degree with 15 semester hours in social/behavioral sciences
Associate’s degree + 2 years military or certified law enforcement experience
High school diploma + 4 years military or certified law enforcement experience
