Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 15 semester hours in social or behavioral science courses.
  • Associate’s degree and two (2) years of military or certified law enforcement experience (to include Class 1 or Offender Supervision Specialist experience) may be substituted; or a high school diploma and four (4) years of military or certified law enforcement experience (to include Class 1 or Offender Supervision Specialist experience) may be substituted.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first line of supervision for a DV caseload.
  • Maintain a professional communication network inside and outside the department; promote public relations within the local community and with service providers.
  • Participate in trainings and maintain requirements for DV Certification.
  • Monitor DV caseload supervision, including office, home, field visits, counseling attendance, and contact with treatment providers.
  • Utilize community resources and case management techniques to gain compliance with the specialized population.
  • Utilize GPS monitoring and/or alcohol monitoring technologies.
