Job summary

Metropolitan Family Services in Illinois is seeking a full-time DV Advocate for the DuPage team. This role delivers direct services to survivors and their children, including crisis intervention, safety planning, advocacy, information, and referrals, across in-person, virtual, or phone formats.

You will develop and review service plans with clients, assess needs, coordinate with MFS programs, and document progress while meeting contractual expectations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED + 4+ years’ experience or Associate’s degree + 2+ years’ experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field preferred.
• 40-hour Domestic Violence training preferred at hire, required ASAP after hire.
• Illinois Certified Domestic Violence Professional (CDVP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct services to survivors of domestic abuse and children, in person, virtually, or by phone.
• Assess needs and develop measurable service plans with clients.
• Maintain knowledge of MFS programs and community resources; facilitate linkages.
• Complete paperwork timely and meet program reporting requirements.
• Remain current with DV field developments and represent MFS professionally.
