Job summary

Northwood Hospitality LLC is seeking a dedicated Cook to join The Ballantyne hotel kitchen team. You will prepare a variety of dishes, collaborate with the culinary staff to ensure high-quality meals, and maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards.

You will manage time efficiently, support inventory and receiving, assist with events and catering, and contribute to a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a cook in a restaurant or hotel kitchen preferred.
• Strong culinary skills, including knowledge of various cooking techniques and ingredients.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
• Food Handler's Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts, according to recipes and standards.
• Ensure that all food is of the highest quality and meets our strict standards.
• Follow recipes and cooking techniques to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work areas.
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper food handling and storage procedures.
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and efficient workflow.
• Assist with special events and catering as needed.
