Janke General Contractors, Inc in Wisconsin seeks a mid to senior Truck/Dump Truck Driver to support bridges, dams, boat ramps, roads and boardwalks statewide. Schedule is Monday–Friday; $100 per diem for locations over 30 miles from the Athens, WI office.

Qualifications

• Transport construction materials, equipment and tools between the yard and job sites.
• Operate trucks with Gross Vehicle Weight over 26,000 lbs.
• Adhere to all DOT regulations, company policies and safety standards.
• Assist in loading and unloading trucks and support yard operations.

Responsibilities

• Transport and deliver materials and equipment to and from job sites across WI.
• Drive trucks safely with GVW over 26,000 lbs and ensure timely deliveries.
• Load and unload materials and secure loads to prevent damage.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Maintain delivery logs, adhere to schedules, and support yard operations.
• Follow safety guidelines and company policies on all assignments.

Job description

We are looking for mid to entirety level Truck/Dump Truck Diver to work with our crews building bridges, dams, boat ramps, roads, and boardwalks throughout the State of WI. Work week is Monday through Friday afternoon. $100.00 per day per diem for locations over 30 miles from Janke General Office in Athens WI., Monday through Thursday. The Truck Driver/ Dump Truck Diver is responsible for transporting materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Transportation and Delivery:
  • Safely operate company trucks to transport construction materials, equipment, and tools between the yard and job sites.
  • Drive vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight over 26,000 lbs
  • Ensure timely and accurate deliveries, adhering to project schedules and priorities.
  • Verify delivery loads against packing slips and ensure materials are in good condition.
• Loading and Unloading:
  • Assist in loading and unloading trucks
  • Secure loads properly to prevent shifting, damage, or spillage during transit.
• Equipment and Vehicle Maintenance:
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Report any maintenance or repair needs promptly to maintenance
  • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of assigned vehicles.
• Yard Support:
  • Assist with inventory management, including organizing and stocking materials.
  • Assist in yard operations when able
• Compliance and Safety:
  • Adhere to all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards while driving and performing duties.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and trip reports
  • Meet established production standards and work in accordance with company policies & Federal/State Laws
