Key Responsibilities

Dump Truck Operations

• Safely operate dump trucks to haul materials to and from job sites
• Transport dirt, rock, gravel, asphalt, equipment, debris, and other materials as needed
• Load and unload materials safely and efficiently
• Follow assigned routes, schedules, and dispatch instructions
• Communicate with supervisors, dispatch, crews, and customers as needed
• Deliver materials on time while maintaining safe operating practices
• Maneuver trucks safely on jobsites, yards, roads, and tight work areas
• Assist with basic jobsite support as needed when not driving

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, company policies, and safety standards
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections daily
• Report equipment issues, maintenance needs, damage, or safety concerns promptly
• Maintain accurate logs, tickets, inspection forms, and required documentation
• Secure loads properly and follow safe hauling procedures
• Follow jobsite safety rules, PPE requirements, and directions from supervisors
• Operate safely around equipment, crews, pedestrians, traffic, and active construction areas

Truck & Equipment Care

• Keep truck clean, organized, and in good operating condition
• Monitor truck condition throughout the day and report any concerns
• Check fuel, fluids, tires, lights, brakes, and other basic truck components
• Coordinate with supervisors or mechanics for maintenance and repairs
• Help minimize downtime through proper equipment care and communication

Team Support

• Work professionally with supervisors, dispatch, mechanics, crews, customers, and vendors
• Maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Be flexible with daily assignments based on workload and project needs
• Support safe, efficient, and productive field operations
• Represent the company professionally while on the road, at jobsites, and with customers

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required
• Previous dump truck, hauling, trucking, or construction driving experience preferred
• Must have a clean and safe driving mindset
• Ability to follow DOT regulations and company safety policies
• Ability to complete inspections, logs, tickets, and required paperwork accurately
• Comfortable driving in construction zones, yards, jobsites, and varying road conditions
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow dispatch instructions
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Ability to pass required pre-employment screening

Schedule & Work Environment

• Typical schedule may include up to 10-hour workdays
• Work may include local hauling, jobsite deliveries, yard work, and construction support
• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
• Work around heavy equipment, construction crews, traffic, dirt, rock, and active jobsites
