Job description

Haul materials between job sites and supply yards for our heavy-civil construction operations across the Mid-Atlantic. Dump, flatbed, and lowboy configurations depending on the project phase.

You will work directly with field foremen and dispatch to keep crews supplied and projects on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company trucks (dump, flatbed, or lowboy depending on assignment) hauling dirt, stone, asphalt, milling, equipment, and supplies.
• Run pre-trip and post-trip inspections every shift; document defects and pull trucks out of service when needed.
• Follow assigned haul routes, weight limits, and DOT hours-of-service.
• Load and unload materials with attention to weight distribution and load securement.
• Coordinate with site foremen and dispatch on arrival, staging, and dump locations.
• Maintain accurate trip logs (hours, mileage, materials, locations).
• Communicate mechanical issues and safety concerns to dispatch and the shop immediately.
• Help with on-site work between hauls when asked (raking asphalt, shoveling, flagging, etc.).

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class B with clean recent driving record (CDL A is a plus).
• 2+ years driving in heavy-highway, civil, or aggregate-hauling work.
• Current DOT medical card.
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations and load securement practices.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
