Job summary

Flippo Construction Company, Inc. in Forestville, MD is seeking a skilled dump truck driver to join our employee-owned team. This hands-on role supports civil construction projects across DC, Northern VA and Maryland with a focus on safety and reliability.

You will operate a 10-wheel dump truck, perform daily inspections, and follow a supervisor's directions. The position offers ESOP benefits, competitive pay, and comprehensive benefits including 401(k) with match and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience driving a 10-wheel dump truck.
• Valid Class A or B CDL.
• Current DOT Medical Examiners Certificate.
• Able to pass a DOT drug/alcohol screen.
• Reliable transportation to and from the location.
• Ability to lift up to 95 pounds.
• Able to drive a manual transmission.

Responsibilities

• Check in with the Dispatcher daily for assignments.
• Operate the truck and equipment safely for civil construction projects.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections per FMCSA regulations.
• Take directions from the Foreman on site, or their designee.
• Be available for snow removal operations.
• Wash and clean the vehicle daily.
• Fuel the vehicle at the end of the shift.

Responsibilities

• Check in with the Dispatcher each day to receive job assignments.
• Operate the truck and equipment in a proper and safe manner while hauling loads in support of civil construction projects.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations.
• Take directions from the Foreman on the job site or in their absence their designated appointee.
• Be available for snow removal operations.
• Wash and clean out vehicle daily.
• Fuel vehicle at the end of your work shift.

Requirements

• Must have 2 years of experience driving a 10-wheel dump truck.
• Must hold a valid Class A or B CDL.
• Must possess a current DOT Medical Examiners Certificate
• Must be able to pass a DOT regulated alcohol and controlled substance screen.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from assigned location.
• Must be able to lift and carry tools, equipment, or material up to a weight of 95 pounds.
• Must be able to drive manual.
