Flippo Construction Company, Inc. is an Employee-Owned contractor based in Forestville, MD, serving Washington DC, Northern Virginia and Maryland. We are seeking a truck driver with a valid CDL to haul loads for civil construction projects and perform routine vehicle inspections.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience driving a 10-wheel dump truck.
• Valid Class A or B CDL.
• Current DOT Medical Examiners Certificate.
• DOT drug/alcohol screen
• Reliable transportation to/from location.
• Capable of lifting up to 95 pounds.
• Able to drive manual transmission.

Responsibilities

• Check in with the Dispatcher each day to receive job assignments.
• Operate the truck and equipment in a proper and safe manner while hauling loads in support of civil construction projects.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations.
• Take directions from the Foreman on the job site or their designate.
• Be available for snow removal operations.
• Wash and clean out vehicle daily.
• Fuel vehicle at the end of your work shift.

• Must possess a current DOT Medical Examiners Certificate
• Must be able to pass a DOT regulated alcohol and controlled substance screen.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from assigned location.
• Must be able to lift and carry tools, equipment, or material up to a weight of 95 pounds.
• Must be able to drive manual.
