Job summary

Ox Bodies in Fayette, Alabama, is seeking a skilled Blaster to operate blasting equipment and contribute to our rugged dump body manufacturing. You will perform routine maintenance, follow safety protocols, and help ensure quality on every job site.

You'll coordinate with forklift operators, install boards on dump bodies, and assist with 5S at the work station. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, wearing respirators, and the ability to stand for long shifts.

Qualifications

• Educational: High School Diploma or GED
• Experience: Prior experience operating a blaster is required.
• Skills: Read tape measure and interpret measurements and angles.
• Must wear respirator; lift up to 50 lbs; climb 5-foot ladder; stand for 10 hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate blasting machine.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment as needed.
• Co-ordinate with forklift driver the movement of dump bodies.
• Install boards on dump body.
• Perform a 5S as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Operate blasting machine.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment as needed.
• As a condition of employment, work all assigned days and overtime as required.
• Must wear all PPE required.
• Job Duties by Task:
• Remove all weld splatter that the blaster does not get off.
• Grind any knots.
• Install boards on dump body.
• Perform a 5S as needed.
• Co-ordinate with forklift driver the specific movement of dump bodies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Educational: High School Diploma or GED
• Experience: Prior experience operating a blaster is required.
• Skills: Demonstrated ability to operate equipment, with or without training; ability to read and interpret a tape measure, ability to understand measurements and angles.
• Other: Must be able to wear a respirator. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Must be able to climb 5-foot ladder and be on their feet for 10 hours.

• Safety Glasses, Ear plugs, Suit, vinyl gloves.
