Job description

Division of Neonatology at Duke University is seeking a pediatrician to join our infant complex care group. Ideal candidates are early to mid-career pediatricians with a special interest in caring for children under three, especially those with special health care needs and NICU experience. Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible with the expectation to become certified in General Pediatrics.

Role and Responsibilities
  1. Contribute to the growth of our established Infant Complex Care program, which excels in patient care, research, and education.
  2. Work with a multidisciplinary team including pediatricians, psychologists, nurse practitioners, social workers, and therapists.
  3. Enhance clinical programs such as the Special Infant Care follow-up clinic (SICC), Transitions Medical Home program (TMH), and Pediatric Cardiac Neurodevelopmental Clinic (PCNC).
  4. Participate in inpatient service for complex NICU patients requiring care coordination and discharge planning.
  5. Engage in research activities, including participation in the NICHD Neonatal Research Network (NRN) assessing neurodevelopmental outcomes post-NICU.
