Join us to apply for the Due Process Coach role at St. Cloud Area School District 742

This position is a Teacher on Special Assignment with variable hours based on program needs. Reports to the Director of Special Education. Salary range: $49,141 - $90,362 per year.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of successful teaching experience with a current Tier 3 or 4 MN special education license.
  • Proven skill in completing due process documentation, adhering to timelines and procedures.
  • Strong expertise in special education programming and instruction.
  • Excellent organization, collaboration, and communication skills.

Preferred qualifications include experience in leading professional development, district or school leadership, and familiarity with due process related to school discipline and suspension, including Manifestation Determination meetings and documentation.

Position Summary

The Due Process Coach will collaborate with teachers, supervisors, and district staff to ensure excellence in due process completion and special education programming. The role involves coaching licensed staff, supporting documentation, and compliance tracking.

Essential Duties
  1. Coaching: Support special education teachers, especially probationary teachers, in completing accurate due process paperwork and using district documentation systems.
  2. Documentation Support: Assist teachers with writing IEPs, evaluation reports, behavior plans, and progress reports.
  3. Professional Development: Plan and deliver training on due process documentation and timelines.
  4. Compliance Tracking: Help monitor evaluation and IEP timelines, create compliance reports, and coach on practices to meet deadlines.
  5. Data and Reporting: Collaborate on district-wide data collection, reporting, and system development for compliance.
  6. Research and Support: Follow state guidance, support state reporting, and promote positive relationships among staff.
  7. Other duties as assigned.
