Where is the work:

Field-based: Work is conducted on-site at customer locations. Trane Upper Midwest Region is hiring a Ductless Technical Specialist to join the team. In this position you will work closely with our contractor customers and internal fulfillment team to ensure proper installation and startup of Trane VRF and Ductless products.

What will you do:

• Participate in VRF/Ductless post sales product success.
• Monitor, and measure process and process measurements to effectively and efficiently meet customer needs regarding all post sales ductless activity including but not limited to startup and beyond.
• Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, advising corrective action, and communicating with customers, and co-workers.
• Provide commercial and high-level technical product sales training to area office personnel and customers as required.
• Conduct field training for customers in the installation and troubleshooting of VRF and Ductless products.
• Ability to troubleshoot VRF and Ductless products.
• Assist customers in the startup and commissioning of VRF and ductless products.
• Build consultative relationships and trust with owners and contracting customers.
• Support area office performance by coaching sales personnel in competent VRF product sales, application, and customer support.
• Administration of warranty process and all post sales activity for ductless business.
• Participate in the METUS DSG program as a representative for your area/region.
• Work with submittals and equipment selections to support internal and external business processes.
• Proactively communicate with all stakeholders while working with various projects and provide detailed reports.
• Engage and build relationships with various resources throughout METUS and Trane.
• May be required to become a certified technical trainer.

What will you bring:

• Minimum of 5 years of HVAC installation, service and/or troubleshooting VRF Experience is preferred, but not an absolute requirement.
• Working knowledge of all facets of construction including mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems, etc. preferred.
• Must be able to travel throughout assigned territory.
• Preferred home base near Chicagoland but can be flexible here within Upper Midwest Region.
• Great public speaking and presenting experience is required.
• This is primarily a field support role, with daily travel is required.
• Overnight travel to meet the business needs.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to: DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Carless Driving, or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.

Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range: $60,800.00 - $126,000.00
