Job summary

Next Level Solutions in Springfield, MO seeks a Policy Tech Lead to mentor developers, shape Duck Creek solutions, and work directly with clients on complex insurance projects.

You will lead technical design, guide cross-functional teams, and translate business needs into scalable Duck Creek implementations, driving architecture and timelines while collaborating closely with clients.

Qualifications

6–10 years of industry experience, including 5+ years with Duck Creek
Deep expertise in Duck Creek Policy Admin and/or Billing (Author, Express, Server, User Admin, TransACT)
Hands-on ManuScript configuration and inheritance structures
Experience with Duck Creek APIs, Duck Creek Anywhere, and Duck Creek Skins
Strong background in C# custom business objects and XML
Experience with Duck Creek tools such as Author (Fields, Pages, Forms, Tables) and debugging tools (TraceMonitor, ExampleUtil, Data Tester)
Knowledge of Duck Creek Shredding including IDO
Solid experience with SQL Server, stored procedures, triggers, and related objects
Understanding of SDLC and Agile environments
Strong communication skills with clients; self-starter and organized

Responsibilities

Partner with clients and internal teams to understand requirements and translate into technical solutions
Lead design and development of Duck Creek solutions using ManuScript
Provide technical leadership and mentorship across the platform
Drive solution approvals: requirements, architecture, timelines
Support project planning and alignment with client strategies

What You’ll Do

Partner with clients and internal teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions

What You’ll Bring

6–10 years of industry experience, including 5+ years with Duck Creek products

Knowledge of Duck Creek Shredding including IDO
Solid experience with SQL Server, stored procedures, triggers, and related database objects
Understanding of the full software development lifecycle, including Agile environments
Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with clients
A self-starter mindset with strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
