JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Must be a registered nurse that is licensed to practice in the state of Arkansas.
- Evidence of CPR and ACLS certifications or training preferred.

Experience
- Critical Care or previous cardiac cath/EP Cath lab experience is desirable or 3-5 years of cardiac experience.

Physical

- Normal hospital environment. Exposure to biological hazards. Frequent exposure to unpleasant odors. Close eye work.
- Hearing of normal and soft tones. Distinguish smells. Distinguish temperatures by touch and proximity.
- Lifting up to 100 lbs. Carrying up to 40 lbs. Pushing/pulling up to 350 lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.
JOB SUMMARY
Performs as a scrub nurse, circulator or monitor during cardiac catheterization or electrophysiology procedures under the direction of the Cardiologist and/or Radiologist and the supervision of the department manager and/or director. This position requires independent judgment, integrity, initiative and excellent critical thinking skills. RN’s must be available to be on call on a rotating schedule with a response time of 30 minutes for emergent or urgent cases. Incumbents are subject to overtime and call-back as required by the hospital.
