Job summary

Cayuga Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the Schuyler Hospital Primary Care team in Montour Falls, NY. You will perform clinical duties within LPN scope, obtain vital signs, document records, and assist physicians with patient care in a two-location setting.

Required NYS LPN licensure, graduation from an accredited LPN program, and strong communication skills. Onsite daytime shifts at Schuyler Hospital; competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited LPN program.
• Current NYS licensure as an Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Demonstrated clinical competency.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Knowledge of diseases and treatment.

Responsibilities

• Perform all clinical duties and procedures within the scope of LPN licensure and in compliance with applicable New York State laws, regulations, and practice protocols, ensuring patient comfort and well-being.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs, prepare patient records for visits, and assist with maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
• Assist physicians and providers with patient care, clinical procedures, and scheduling in accordance with established office protocols.
• Manage patient calls and provider inquiries related to clinical questions, prescription refills, test results, and other patient care needs.
• Participate in scheduled team meetings to clarify roles, responsibilities, workflows, and patient concerns, as well as contribute to quality improvement initiatives and committees as requested.
