Job summary

Kettering Health is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator/Nursing Assistant (HUC/NA) at the Miamisburg campus for a part-time, 12-hour day shift. The role blends coordinating patient flow with hands-on nursing assistant duties as delegated by licensed staff.

Applicants must complete KH Health Coordinator training and Nursing Assistant Orientation, hold CPR/BLS, and meet one of several experience paths including hospital NA tenure or nursing student status. Reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

KH Health Coordinator training completed upon hire
KH Nursing Assistant Orientation completed upon hire
CPR/BLS certification present
Must have one of: six months of nursing assistant hospital/long-term care experience; nursing assistant course completion in last six months; nursing student or listed as pre-nursing on transcripts; current KH employee

Responsibilities

Serve as Health Unit Coordinator and Nursing Assistant as part of the interdisciplinary patient care team.
Support patients with activities of daily living and perform delegated patient care skills.
Collaborate with unit leadership to coordinate daily patient care activities and manage patient records; assist with EMR and communications.
Maintain knowledge and skills for delegated tasks and support department operations; perform other duties as assigned.
Report to the Clinical Nurse Manager.
