Qualifications

• Texas state teaching certification required.
• Bachelor's degree with passing TEXES/ExCET in the taught area.
• Bachelor's degree with minor/major in core subject areas.
• One year of relevant work experience with a professional recommendation.

Responsibilities

• Master the Premier High School Curriculum System and adapt instruction for adult learners in Texas Works.
• Manage the classroom with clear expectations, routines, and self-discipline while showing empathy.
• Inspire, praise, and correct students with consistency, care, and interest.
• Evaluate student progress and communicate with students, parents, and staff.
• Collaborate with colleagues at local and district levels for student learning.
• Administer tests, monitor performance, and provide interventions/enrichment.
• Tutor students individually or in groups.
• Perform assigned duties and special projects.
• Maintain professionalism through ongoing development and reflection.
• Adhere to handbooks and procedures.
