Job summary

Hilton St. Petersburg Bayfront and Hyatt Place St. Petersburg are seeking an on-site accounting professional to manage day-to-day financial operations for both properties. You will conduct income audits, reconcile deposits, and handle cash controls across two brands.

The role requires 3–5 years of hotel accounting experience, familiarity with M3 and PMS systems, and the ability to coordinate multi-property activities with corporate policies and brand standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting or related field.
• 2+ years of hotel corporate accounting experience.
• 3–5 years progressive hotel property accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with M3 and PMS systems (Hilton PEP, Opera Cloud).

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day property-level accounting for two hotels (Hilton St. Petersburg Bayfront and Hyatt Place St. Petersburg).
• Perform income audits, reconcile deposits, and handle cash and vault procedures.
• Oversee accounts receivable including city ledger, direct billing, and collections.
• Process accounts payable and allocate costs between properties.
• Assist in month-end closing, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support tax compliance and payroll/franchise processing tasks.
• Assist leadership with special financial projects and process improvements.

Position Summary: Provide comprehensive, on-site accounting support for the Hilton St. Petersburg Bayfront and Hyatt Place St. Petersburg. Responsible for managing day-to-day property-level financial operations, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, procedures, brand standards, and federal, state, and local regulations across both hotel properties._____________________________________________________________________________Essential functions:Daily Operations: Manage and execute the day-to-day property-level accounting workflows for both the Hilton St. Petersburg Bayfront and Hyatt Place St. Petersburg.Income Audit & Cash Handling: Perform daily income audits, verify night audit packages against PMS/POS systems, reconcile credit card deposits, and manage property vaults and house banks.Accounts Receivable: Manage the city ledger, process direct billing applications, handle guest billing inquiries, resolve credit card chargebacks, and drive collections efforts for both locations.Accounts Payable: Review, code, and route property-level invoices to appropriate department heads for approval, ensuring precise cost allocation between the two properties. Response promptly to vendor inquiries.Month-End Closing: Assist corporate accounting with the month-end closing process by preparing property journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and P&L review materials.Tax Compliance: Assist in compiling data and preparing monthly sales, use, occupancy, and communication tax returns for both St. Petersburg properties.
