Ideal candidates hold a JD, be licensed in MO (IL/KS/TX a plus), with 1–3 years of experience, and possess strong litigation, negotiation, and advocacy skills. A commitment to ethical practice and effective client communication is essential.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school
• Licensed and in good standing in MO (IL, KS, TX a plus)
• 1–3 years of experience in criminal law and/or personal injury
• Strong litigation, negotiation, and advocacy skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to manage a high-volume and diverse caseload independently
• Commitment to client advocacy and ethical legal practice

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in criminal proceedings (state and/or federal) and personal injury claims
• Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and briefs
• Conduct client consultations, evaluate cases, and advise on legal options
• Develop strategies through legal research and case investigation
• Negotiate plea agreements and settlements with opposing counsel and insurers
• Represent clients at depositions, mediations, hearings, pre-trials, and trials
• Maintain strong client communication and manage expectations
• Collaborate with paralegals, assistants, and fellow attorneys to ensure effective case management
