Pelican Products in South Deerfield, MA is hiring an Injection Mold Technician on the 2nd shift to keep our molding operations safe, efficient, and compliant. You will set up and run multi-material molding systems with robotics, troubleshoot production issues, and collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance to optimize performance.

The role requires 1–2 years of hands-on experience, ability to read drawings, and a mechanical mindset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of hands-on injection molding process experience
• Experience setting up and operating injection molding machinery
• Mechanical aptitude with production equipment
• Ability to read and follow engineering drawings and BOMs
• Identify basic process or equipment issues and communicate problems effectively
• Work safely in a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor injection molding machines and supporting equipment.
• Perform complex mold setups involving two-material molding components and robotics.
• Prepare machines and auxiliary equipment for molded cases, components, and accessories.
• Work from drawings, BOMs, assembly drawings, procedures, and production instructions.
• Monitor molding process and finished parts for quality and standards.
• Identify and troubleshoot molding, equipment, material, and process issues and escalate as needed.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance and technical teams to support equipment installation and production needs.
• Support raw material availability and inventory to maintain production flow.
• Operate tools and production equipment safely.
• Maintain accurate daily production records and documentation.
