Job summary

Pelican Products in South Deerfield, MA is seeking an Injection Mold Technician I for the 2nd shift to maintain and optimize our molding operations. You will set up and operate molding machines, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance to keep equipment performing at peak levels.

The role requires 1–2 years of hands-on molding experience, ability to read drawings, and a mechanical mindset.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of hands-on injection molding process experience.
• Experience setting up and operating injection molding machinery.
• Ability to read and follow engineering drawings and procedures.
• Ability to identify basic process or equipment issues and communicate problems.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor injection molding machines and supporting equipment.
• Perform complex mold setups involving two-material components and robotics.
• Prepare machinery for production of molded cases, components, and accessories.
• Work from engineering drawings, BOMs, and production instructions.
• Monitor molding process and ensure quality and production standards.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues and elevate complex problems as needed.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance to support equipment.
• Maintain safe and clean work areas and accurate production records.
• Adhere to safety and quality requirements.
